HOW YOU CAN HELP

Bible Teachers

The Lighthouse for Christ has a one year Bible School with 2 streams of classes were we train young men who speak English and have at least an 8th grade education in Bible knowledge. In the class we teach a high school English class as well as Bible survey and other Bible classes.  Opportunities are available to come for 3-4 weeks at a time and be a part of the teaching.  Classes run one year from May to May. Please contact Tim Ghrist, Mission Director, if interested.

Pastoral Trainers

The Lighthouse for Christ has nearly 50 established churches and other preaching points.  Pastor conferences, Bible conferences, meeting with and mentoring young pastors, are trainings that are always needed. Opportunities for M.Div.active Pastors to come for a minimum of 1 week to teach and train.  Please contact Tim Ghrist, Mission Director, if interested.

Evangelism

The Lighthouse for Christ has opportunities for people gifted in personal evangelism and prayer.  The clinic has opportunities as it shares with many patients every day the Good News of Jesus.  Weekly eye camps are held where people are needed to assist in evangelism. Minimum recommended visit is 3 weeks.  The Lighthouse has many churches where opportunities are available to assist pastors in visitation and street evangelism.  If interested contact the mission director

Build a Church

The Lighthouse for Christ has more than 15 starting churches that need a place to worship.  If a group from your church (5-10 people) were interested to come for a minimum of 10 days and with funding of $5,000- $10,000.  Either a long lasting shelter or permanent church building could be built.  Before arriving the slab would be poured and part of the walls erected (for a shelter wood studs and iron sheet for walls or for permanent block walls would be raised).  When the group arrives they would be a part of putting on the roof (wood frame and tin) and plastering, painting, building benches etc so that the last day you would participate in the dedication of the new building.  Street Evangelism and children's evangelism would also be a part of this work.  If interested contact the mission director.
